Sipora Gurung is former national volleyball player , an actress , model and social activist. She was the youngest player in 10th South Asian Games held in Srilanka.She is also 3rd runner up in Miss Nepal 2013 .She is all set debut as actress in Nepali Industry with Bhui Manche .
Sipora was born in Pokhara.Her mother is Seti Ghising Gurung and father is Motilal Gurung . Sipora was also talented in studies.She secured 89% in SLC from Fishtail academy , Pokhara and also topped her college in +2.
Sipora as Volleyball player
In just 13 year old , Sipora was selected in national volleyball team to represent Nepal in 10th South Asian Games.She got recognition as youngest player in the tournament .But unfortunately , She sustained knee injury during a volleyball match at age 18 and had since been unable to play and was out of court. Later on , She had successful knee surgery and she’s back on the field.But doctors advised Sipora not to give much pressure on her knee which is why she thought to take a break from the sports .
In an interview ,shedding her tears , sipora revealed that there was no one to support her during her knee injury .Despite being a strong player in national team , no one cared about her injury .She revealed the true situation of players in our country .
During her break , Sipora was approached for the Gurung film .She was in leisure so she thought to give it a try .She debuted lead role in Ghalek .She also played a lead role in the film Yamphawati: The Princess (2014). Her new movie Bhui Manche will mark her debut in Nepalese Film Industry. The film is about a surgeon and Sipora will be playing role of the surgeon .
